Six Wives
of Henry VIII

Anne Boleyn Jane Seymour Anne of Cleves Catherine Howard

enry VIII had many achievements during his near 40 year reign. He built grand palaces such as Hampton Court and St. James. He established Trinity College and endowed five professorships. He founded the modern day Church of England and liberated England from Papal authority. He also was the first English monarch to be called "Majesty." Despite all of these accomplishments, Henry is probably most remembered for his bevy of wives. Some ambitious, some passive, some influential, all of Henry's wives possessed some quality that made them stake their own claim in English history.
